I'm sorry I broke into your home and stole your stuff.
I'm sorry I was driving drunk and killed your child, mother, father, brother, sister
I'm sorry I robbed your bank and shot you.
I'm sorry....I didn't pay my taxes.
It wasn't my fault! I didn't know!
We hear it constantly, "I'm sorry" and not always, but sometimes followed by "But, I didn't know."
We have to ask....are you REALLY sorry?
Are you sorry because you know in your heart that your actions were wrong? Or are you simply sorry because you got caught??? More often than not, I'm forced to believe they are sorry only because they got caught.
And the whole "I didn't know" excuse is absurd.
So, what "I'm sorry" have you heard lately? Was it a real "I'm sorry" or was it only because they were caught?
